Đất Lành Charity Fund


Who we are



Created by a group of Canado-Vietnamese from Québec City, Canada, the Fund is a registered Canadian charity (registration number 774228522RR0001) whose mission is to provide relief to the poorest of the poor through donations that take various forms, ranging from food, clothing, medicine, and assistive devices, to school supplies and scholarships.


Our priorities are people in needs in remote areas, in particular : 1) orphaned children with disabilities, 2) poor and disabled elderly.


The Fund has no particular political, religious or racial affiliations. All members of the Fund and their collaborators, whether they be in Quebec or in Vietnam, have pledged to work as volunteers and in complete transparency. The donations received are earmarked exclusively for charitable activities and are sent directly to the people we seek to help, with supporting documents and photos kept as evidence.


Dât Lành Charity Fund started its activities in the fall of 2014, under the name Bo Dê.  The donations collected made it possible to carry out nine charitable activities between 2014 and 2016: eight in Vietnam, and one in Quebec. Nearly 1,200 people have received assistance so far (360 disabled orphans, 300 blind or visually impaired people, 630 sick and isolated elderly).


Some facts



In Vietnam, 13 million people continue to live in poverty, surviving on less than $1.25 USD per day (according to the United Nations). Among them, children and elderly living in remote or mountainous regions are the most vulnerable. Frequent natural disasters, such as typhoons and floods, as well as serious diseases and severe handicaps—which are the legacy of many decades of war—only serve to make their situation more desperate.


How you can help



The Fund relies heavily on the generous contribution of donors in order to sustain and expand in the years to come the humanitarian mission it has set for itself, that of relieving the suffering of the poorest of the poor so that they can begin to smile and hope again, and have a better future.


All reports on the Fund’s activities and its funding are posted on its website and emailed to donors.


Tax receipts are issued for donations of $20 CAD or more. Donations can be made online or by cheque.

 By cheque: Please pay to the order of Funds Dat Lanh and send to the address below.

 Online: By e-transfer (Interac) from your banking institution. Please mention Funds Dat Lanh and our email qttdatlanh@gmail.com. Please also provide us by email your secret question and answer so that we can collect your donation.
